The Dog Days of Summer

What a fantastic site and holiday from start to finish. The site staff are friendly and welcoming from the minute you pull onto the site to the minute you leave. Facilities are spotless and cannot be faulted. The surrounding area is wonderful so much to see and do and the Bournemouth Air Festival is a must. Be aware that you need to leave early on a morning if you intend to go to local Beaches in particular Sandbanks as there is limited parking facilities however Swanage Beach is a perfect alternative for young families. My daughter of 5 had so much freedom playing with her friends however this was due to us being in the bottom field that had caravans and tents on with electric, if we had been on the main driveway I wouldn't have allowed this due to the passing cars on the site.
Would I go again? Yes. Do I think its worth the money? Yes if you want a quiet site that is close to all attractions but don't want the hassle of noisy people and want like minded people. |

*Dog days: the period between early July and early September when the hot sultry weather of summer usually occurs in the northern hemisphere. In the summer, Sirius, the 'dog star' rises and sets with the sun. During late July Sirius is in conjunction with the sun, and the ancients believed that its heat added to the heat of the sun, creating a stretch of hot and sultry weather. They named this period of time, from 20 days before the conjunction to 20 days after it, 'dog days', after the dog star.
