We arrived at this site, and had one of the warmest welcomes we have ever had. The shop is very well stocked, and bus timetables were offered to help us organise our days out on the buses. The buses stop right outside the gate, and we found the service to be very reliable. The pitches are a very good size, and the whole site is kept very clean and tidy. The showers, toilets, and wash up areas were always spotless. We hope to return to this site again, and we're sure we will get the same warm welcome.

"I would like to write and let you know what we thought about South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park.

What a excellent start to a Holiday pulling through the lovely gates at South Lytchett Manor and being greeted by such lovely and friendly staff. We were glad we made the right decision to go there as we have been to many sites but this was one of the best to suit your needs whether you are in a tent, caravan or a motor home. The hard standing pitches which we were on were generous and flat (just what we needed). As for the Shower and Toilet Blocks they are a credit to the site and staff members are always checking to see if they are clean even the owners were getting their hands dirty. Considering we went to this site in the main Whitsun week when the kids were off and the quantity of people the standards were excellent. ( Well done Staff and of course not forgetting the owners Dave and Jo). We were also surprised how quiet it was for how busy the site was.

The shop is the best on site that we have been to with a very good selection and not dear like most sites who charge the earth. They have a menu for takeaways (Indians etc) that delivers to the reception for you (Yippee no cooking tonight). A fish and chip shop just down the road one way and a lovely pub called St Peters Finger the other. We tried this pub out and the meals were lovely but the best part was the free bottle of wine (wow) you got with a voucher off site with 2 main meals.

As for things to do if you like to look around small craft shops there is a little centre just a small walk over a field on site ( I mean a small walk). There are different kinds of crafts, a pet area where you can walk and look at different birds, fowl rabbits etc kids would love and a small restaurant for light meals and drinks. If you feel more adventurous the site have printed walks that you can go on , 4 in all each to suit your health and fitness. A bus stops outside the gate which takes you to Poole or another one takes you to Bournemouth. The latter bus was arranged by the owners with the bus company when the children have been dropped off at school they come and pick up any passengers. (What a good idea especially if you had a drink the night before you don't have to drive).

There is a small games room with a pool table TV and board games etc, my 17 year old loved the pool table and yes our 17 year old still loves coming with us. This room was really busy the night Man Utd was playing as we noticed a lot of people were walking by with chairs and drinks only to find they were watching the match. What a atmosphere there must have been except for the final score.

My final statement is to say what a great bunch of staff Dave and Jo have. Nothing was to much trouble for them if you needed advice or help. It was also nice to see the owners working as well and not just sitting back and letting their staff do it all.

I would like to congratulate Dave and Jo on their superb site of South Lytchett manor and winning the best site in the area which they thoroughly deserve. I wish them all the best in the future and yes we have already booked for next year"
