South Lytchett Manor’s top quality site attracted a real treasure trove of leisure and tourism awards last year, underlining its continued commitment to the best in camping and caravanning.
Bournemouth Tourism Awards judged South Lytchett Manor to be the Self Catering, Camping and Caravanning Establishment of the Year for the second year in a row, and the award was presented at a glittering ceremony at the O2 Academy in Boscombe. The night featured a Victorian seaside theme for the largest event of its eight-year history.
At the high profile Poole Tourism Awards, South Lytchett Manor made its mark again as the only family run business to win an award, taking home a coveted Golden Award for Green Business.
And another success was notched up in the South and South East in Bloom Awards when the site won gold – again for the second year running – in the Commercial garden/Landscape category and was also the overall category winner. The competition is highly regarded and encourages communities to create floral features, permanent planting, wildflower meadows, planting for nature, fruit and vegetables and much more.
Cheers also went up when a Highly Commended award was presented to South Lytchett Manor in the Holiday Park of the Year category featured in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
And last but not least, in the first ever Dorset Tourism Awards held at the Tank Museum Bovington, site proprietors David and Joanne Bridgen were delighted to receive a Silver Award in the Caravan and Camping Park of the Year section.
