In a fantastic achievement, South Lytchett Manor Camping and Caravan Park has been crowned 2016 Best UK Site for Motorhomes for the third year in a row by readers of Practical Motorhome magazine.
The site was described as ‘a gem of a park in a beautiful location’ by readers who also noted the ‘well laid out and immaculate’ park and the helpful staff who ‘go the extra mile to help and are very friendly. They don’t just rest on their laurels, they listen to their customers and as a result the site gets better each year.’
In a further accolade, the site has also been voted Best Caravan Park in Dorset 2016, meaning that for a whole decade, South Lytchett has topped the list of regional votes cast by readers of Practical Caravan magazine.
It completes a hat trick of recent awards for the site which was also swept the board in the AAs prestigious awards to be named their Campsite of the Year for 2016.
The family run park just outside Poole has gone from strength to strength since it was taken over by Jo, Dave and Matt Bridgen almost 10 years ago.
Jo commented, “We’ve been so delighted to win all these awards and it’s always fantastic to be chosen for an award by the people who have actually stayed here. We get so much out of hearing that people have enjoyed their time with us and it spurs us on to build in more new improvements with every year that passes.”
“Whether you’ve arrived with a caravan, camper or tent, you’ll find the welcome warm and the facilities top-notch. Extra-large tents can be accommodated on super pitches, for example, as can twin-axle caravans or tag-axle motorhomes. A motorhome service point is available, and music is piped into the spotless washrooms. Children are catered for with treasure hunts during the main season, and there’s even a 2.5-acre dog-walking field.
If you do decide to head off site for the day, you can easily explore the local area thanks to the two bus routes that stop by the main gate. From there, you can get to Swanage, Poole, Weymouth and more.”
