We think that South Lytchett Manor is the ideal place for a short break or extended family holiday. To show you why, we’ve compiled a list of just some of the many reasons you should visit our Dorset holiday park this summer.
South Lytchett Manor is situated in a fantastic location, centrally located for exploring the towns of Poole, Bournemouth, Wareham and Swanage. Our 5-star holiday park is set within more than 20 acres of stunning grounds, which are quiet, peaceful and ideal for a relaxing holiday. Dorset’s renowned Jurassic Coastline and a number of idyllic beaches are just a short drive away or easily accessible via the Breezer bus, which stops just outside the park’s entrance. If you fancy exploring the area under your own steam, we have bikes available to hire from our reception.
In addition to camping, motorhome and touring caravan pitches, we have 4 traditional Romany caravans available to hire. Each of the caravans has been hand painted with intricate designs and fitted to the highest specifications. Our unique glamping accommodation is ideal for a romantic getaway in Dorset and features comfortable furnishings and a cosy outdoor seating area. We also have beautiful shepherds huts and glamping pods.
At South Lytchett Manor we strive for excellence across all aspects of our park and take great pride in the level of service we offer. Our dedication and commitment to providing guests with an unforgettable experience has been recognised by awarding bodies and we have been fortunate to win a number of industry awards. We are extremely proud of all our awards, especially Practical Caravans ‘Best Caravan and Motorhome Site in Britain’ award, which we have won for the last two years.
We continually invest in new facilities and park improvements to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay. Our spotlessly clean and heated amenity block has recently been refurbished and now boasts professional hairdryers and piped music. Free Wi-Fi is available across the site and guests can enjoy a well-stocked shop, children’s adventure playground and laundry facilities.
We were voted dog friendly business of the year in 2018 and are proud to be one of the premier dog friendly campsites in Dorset. We understand that being able to bring your dog on holiday is one of the draws of camping, so have worked hard to create a space that dogs will enjoy. We have a dedicated dog walking field where you can let your four-legged friend run free. There is also an outdoor dog shower for rinsing muddy paws!
We are committed to sustainability and have implemented a number of initiatives across the park to minimise our impact on the environment. Each year we plant a variety of native plants including hedgerows and wildflowers to provide a habitat for wildlife to thrive. We also grow our own herbs, encourage recycling and try wherever possible to stock locally sourced products in our shop. We even have our own flock of chickens invite our guest to help collect the eggs and feed them from our poultry rearing supplies.
