The Fantastic Egg Hunt is a fun-filled easter themed trail for children to enjoy. This trail is excellent for the whole family; parents can enjoy the well-kept gardens around the historic Upton Country Park, whilst children are encouraged to search for hidden eggs and solve the puzzles as they go. At the end of the trail, children can give their answers to a friendly member of staff, who will gift each child with a chocolate easter egg prize.

Easter Holiday – ‘Tanks for The Memories’ – 1st – 16th April

Bovington – Dorset BH20 6JG

A day at The Tank Museum is always filled with excitement! The Tank Museum has a new exhibition available just in time for the Easter Holidays. The ‘Tanks for The Memories’ event focuses on celebrating tanks in film, video games, scale model kits, music, and other tanks in the media. This exhibit promises a full day full of fun as it also has plenty of experiences and children’s activities to discover. Children’s activities include face painting on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, a ‘100th Birthday Bash Trail’ chocolate trail, colouring opportunities, traditional party games and so much more.

Adventure Wonderland – 1st – 16th April

Adventure Wonderland is one of Dorset’s top family attractions and is the perfect day out for families staying in Dorset over the Easter Holidays. There is a wide range of exciting rides and things to do at this children’s playpark, from log flumes to turbo teacups, and battle boats to flying elephants! Adventure Wonderland often has a variety of characters popping up all over the park, however, a very special guest is arriving at adventure Wonderland over the Easter Holidays. Keep an eye out for marmalade sandwiches and his signature blue coat and red hat, because Paddington will be appearing in intervals on the 6th of April!

Easter Adventures at Corfe Castle – 1st – 16th April

Visit Corfe Castle for an exciting day filled with Easter activities. The Corfe Castle dragon has activities prepared for any little brave explorers! The trail map will guide you around the 11th-century grounds and focuses on various nature and history-inspired puzzles, games, and activities to complete. Each child who completes the trail will be rewarded with a tasty fairy or vegan (free from) chocolate egg to enjoy during the journey home.

Art and Makers Easter Pop-Up Market – 7th – 10th April

Westover Gardens – Bournemouth 

The Art and Makers Easter market is a free attraction run by creatives from the local area. This event started in the 1960s and has been a popular easter attraction ever since. You are free to wander through the stalls and discover a treasure trove of handmade gifts including artworks, homeware, ceramics, fashion accessories, jewellery, food and so much more.

Easter Fun at Farmer Palmers – 7th – 10th April

Wareham Rd – Poole BH16 6EU

There are many action-packed activities to attend at Farmer Palmers! Children will have the opportunity to rescue the Easter Bunny from the evil ‘Bandit Bunnies’. This fun activity consists of a tractor ride where children are encouraged to shoot down the ‘Bandit Bunnies’ with water pistols. Once your children have successfully rescued the Easter Bunny, they are free to explore the ‘Easter Egg hunting field’ for the chocolate eggs hidden there. However, children must especially be on the lookout for the golden ticket! If any children find a golden ticket they will win one of the big chocolate egg prizes, which can be collected from the gift shop.

Lyme Regis Easter Monday Duck Race – 10th April

Higher Mill Flats, Windsor Terrace on the River Lim – Lyme Regis

If you’re looking for an Easter activity that’s a little different, then you’ll love the Lyme Regis Easter Monday Duck Race!  Gather around the River Lim and get ready to release the ducks! All plastic rubber ducks are released into the water and the race is off! Follow the ducks as they make their way down the river to the finish line at Jordan Flats. The winning ducks in the top three places and last place will all win a fantastic prize. To participate in the Easter Monday Duck race, you can buy your ducks online. The organisers of this event are hugely environmentally conscious and collect all the ducks from the water to store them for next year’s race.
