South Lytchett Manor is widely considered one of the best family friendly camping and caravan sites in Dorset and it’s not difficult to see why. Over the years we’ve invested heavily in our facilities for children and are proud to offer youngsters use of our outdoor play park and recreation area.
The play park is situated in a central location close to our touring and camping pitches. It boasts a wide selection of play equipment, with something to suit children of all ages. There’s a climbing frame, slide, swings and roundabout, where younger members of the family can burn some energy at the end of a busy day. It’s a lovely place to spend a couple of hours, before winding down for bed.
The park is a hive of activity during the school holidays and provides the perfect setting for children to make new friends and spend time in the great outdoors.
We kindly ask that little are supervised at all times. If you would like to be sited near the park for added convenience, please let us know at the time of the booking and we will do our best to honour your request. The children’s play area closes at dusk each night so that visitors on the surrounding pitches are not disturbed.
There is a designated ball games field with a football net, badminton net and outdoor table tennis. This is a fantastic place for friendly competition and spending quality family time together. Feel free to bring your own play equipment and set up a game of rounders or cricket in the ample grounds. There’s a lovely picnic area next to the field where adults can sit back and relax, whilst overseeing the action.
We also encourage children to scooter, skateboard or play on their bikes in the field. Children can play freely without having to worry about cars.
