It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from the car park to the beach at Durdle Door. The path is very steep, with some steps to contend with, so care should be taken especially if you have young children in tow. The path follows the cliff top, so dogs should be kept under close control. It can get very busy, so it’s best to arrive early if you want to avoid the crowds. You’ll be treated with magnificent views across Weymouth Bay towards the Isle of Portland in distance. From Durdle Door you can walk to Lulworth Cove – the walk takes 20-30 minutes. Again, the route is fairly steep, so it may take you longer than expected.
