Bere Farm

AttractionsFood & Drink

Located a couple of miles down the road from South Lytchett Manor, a trip to Bere Farm is a must during your stay. Set in beautiful countryside with ample parking, the farm buildings now boast a café, antique furniture shop, garden centre and esteemed cookery school.

The Barn Café

If you’re looking for a tasty breakfast or lunch in beautiful surroundings, a visit to the Barn Café is an absolute must. Situated in the courtyard at Bere Farm, this delightful eatery serves a range of home cooked meals alongside delicious daily specials. The food is presented beautifully and there is a wide selection of fresh options available. What’s more there is an extensive selection of speciality teas and coffees to try.

The building itself is really quite special, thanks to the unique decoration and furnishings. The walls are adorned with beautiful artwork and all the furniture is vintage and mismatched, which in our opinion, only adds to its charm. There is a lovely ambience and in the winter you can sit next to the roaring open fire. We highly recommend booking in advance as it can get busy.

The Old Piggery Garden Centre

This Old Piggery is a small yet perfectly formed garden centre has a number of unique items for sale, many of which are preowned or reclaimed. The owners handpick items pots, planters, tiles and statues from their travels across Europe, helping you add a bit of character to your home. In addition to decorative and quirky items, there are of course, plenty of plants and flowers available.

Next door, there is a small deli selling local artisan goods from some of the region’s best producers. Whether its cheese, meat, biscuits or alcohol you’re after, you’re sure to find enough for a delicious Dorset feast to enjoy in your caravan or glamping accommodation.

White Pepper Cooking school

If you fancy honing your existing skills or trying something new, White Pepper offer a number of cookery classes from their professional kitchens near our Dorset caravan and camping park. You will need to book your course in advance, but there are a wealth of options available, which focus on different cuisines and cooking styles. From authentic Indian, Thai, sustainable fish to vegan and raw – you’ll find something to meet your dietary requirements and food loves.
