Visitors flock to Bournemouth Pier and for good reason, there’s plenty to see and do! In addition to far reaching views along the beautiful coastline and out to sea, there’s a climbing centre, zip line and numerous places to eat, drink and stock up on souvenirs.
If you’re looking to try an adrenaline fuelled activity during your stay at South Lytchett we highly recommend Rock Reef activity centre, a popular family attraction with an extensive range of indoor adventure activities. This all-weather venue is situated on the pier itself with a range of activities to suit all ages, including climbing walls, an artificial cave, vertical slide, ‘leap of faith’ and more!
For the most daring, the Pier Zip is highly recommended. Towering 60ft above the sea, those brave enough to take on the challenge are launched along the zip line at speed to the shore! During the ride you’ll reach great speeds and be treated to spectacular views as you go!
If action packed activities are not your thing, the amusement arcade offers slower paced family fun! There’s plenty of fun and challenging machines to try and prizes to be won. Fishing permits can also be purchased from the pier toll booth.
If you fancy grabbing a bite to eat whilst enjoying the delights of Bournemouth Pier, you can’t go wrong with a meal at Key West Bar and Grill. Open all year with an extensive menu, you’ll certainly find something to refuel after a busy day. If you’re not in the mood for a sit-down meal there are various kiosks selling snacks, ice creams and drinks. There are also small retail outlets where you can buy beach essentials.
During the peak season there is a small fee to get onto Bournemouth Pier. Outside of this time in is free.
