Take a journey of around 40 minutes along the Dorset coast to the east of our park and you will arrive in the pleasant town of Christchurch. It has a much slower pace than its bustling neighbour of Bournemouth however the activities and events on offer are no less enticing.
In the historic town itself there plenty of independent shops located around the high street and Saxon Square area. When its time to refuel there are numerous restaurants, cafes and take aways to choose from. There is also an annual Christchurch Food Festival which takes place each May.
If you want to find a more rural setting then head to the nearby villages of Highcliffe with its grade 1 listed castle or picturesque Mudeford renowned for colourful beach huts and traditional quay; a popular spot for crab fishing and boat trips. Take a short ferry trip from Mudeford and wander around the stunning Hengistbury Head coastal nature reserve. Or simply go walking along the golden beaches, there’s so much to see and do.
