This route is predominantly the Castleman Trailway, a very flat off-road route surrounded by trees and nature, some sign reading work required and a few gates and stiles to navigate!

Exit the gates of South Lytchett Manor and turn left and over the flyover in the cycle lane. Continue straight until you come to two mini roundabouts together with the Costa Coffee visible
on the left-hand side.
Go straight over the two mini roundabouts past the Coop on the right and down the road until you get to the bottom of the hill. The road veers sharply to the left near the end; you will see a sign for the Castleman Trailway. Using the pavement here, follow it under the flyover then follow the cycle path straight over the roundabout by crossing the two intersections and following the cycle path under the underpass. Take a sharp right at the end of the underpass and follow the off-road path to the gated entrance. Where it joins up with the main path, take a right and follow the path,
following the signs to Broadstone or Wimborne, taking the right up the only hill on the route and continuing right along the path on the higher level.

You will then follow the off-route path straight all the way until you reach Broadstone, which will be indicated when you go under two underpasses in quick succession after taking a sharp right-hand turn, then follow the path immediately left then immediately right on the other side.

Continue to follow the path, taking a right over a footpath overlooking the golf course then bending around to the left and following the profile of the golf course. The far end has an incline
up to a gate by the Willett Arms. Go Straight past the Willet Arms, down the hill and pick up the signs at the bottom of the hill, turning right just before the bridge over the river.
Continue to follow the trail signs until you eventually get to Ringwood, and that is your gateway to the New Forest!
