
Families who love the outdoors can’t beat a trip to Purbeck Park during a stay at South Lytchett Manor. This newly formed country park is set in a spectacular setting, near the village of Corfe. There’s plenty to offer those looking for a fun-filled day out. From the park you can enjoy a nearby attractions, including Swanage Railway, Corfe Castle and Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum.
Make Purbeck Park your starting point if you’re planning to explore the Isle of Purbeck via bike, bus or steam train! There is trail to Corfe Castle, which is just under a mile long. You could also venture slightly further – up onto the Purbeck Ridge to admire the beautiful scenery. Or journey to the coast if you’ve got the energy!
Don’t forget we have both adults and children’s bikes available to rent at South Lytchett Manor if you would like to cycle during your trip.
There’s a railway themed outdoor playground for children to enjoy during their visit to Purbeck Park. There’s a variety of equipment for them to play on, but please note it is primarily aimed at children aged 7 and over.
After a busy day exploring the Purbeck area you may need to rest and refuel. Both the Left Luggage Café and the refreshment kiosk at Norden station have food and drink available to purchase.
