If you’re looking for a caravan site or camping near Swanage, South Lytchett Manor could be just the ticket! As a family-run campsite we cater for all types of campers, caravanners and motorhomes.
Take a day trip to Swanage and experience a traditional seaside town which is just half an hour away from us at South Lytchett Manor. When camping in Dorset, many visitors head to the Isle of Purbeck and make a beeline for Swanage which is the largest town on the peninsula.
The journey alone is a treat as the main takes you past the pretty market town of Wareham and through the centre of picturesque Corfe home to the ruined castle now under the ownership of The National Trust. The village also has a steam railway which runs all the way into Swanage offering a delightfully vintage way to travel to the beach resort.
Once in the town many visitors head straight to the blue flag beach to sunbathe on golden sands and swim in the sea. Away from the beach enjoy activities such as pitch and putt golf, crabbing off the pier and exploring the nature reserve at Durlston Country Park. During the carnival the town come alive with processions, firework displays, live music and air displays. This takes place during the start of August each year.
We’re sure you’ll agree that there’s plenty things to do in Swanage for the whole family.
