We know Dorset is usually blessed with warm temperatures, but if the weather takes a turn for the worst, Tower Park is the place to go. In our opinion it’s one of the best rainy-day destinations in Dorset, with a wide selection of indoor activities and restaurants all in one place.
For the thrill seekers among you, Splashdown Waterpark makes an excellent day out. The complex has 13 indoor and outdoor flumes to choose from as well as splash zones for the under 5s. The water slides vary in speed and difficulty with super fast rides for the more adventurous and a lazy river for those who prefer gentler approach. There’s also a bubble bench and jacuzzi if you’d prefer to sit back and relax whilst the kids play.
If waterparks aren’t your thing, how about ten pin bowling? At Hollywood Bowl there are 24 lanes, a designated VIP area, amusement arcade and an American diner to grab a bite to eat.
For the younger members of the family Lemur Landings soft play might be the ultimate wet weather activity. With plenty of multi-level climbing frames, slides and ball pits to play in they’ll have an excellent time as they burn off some steam. One of the major attractions at Lemur Landing is the LED clip and climb wall. Watch your little ones scale to new heights as they navigate their way up the climbing wall.
The multi-screen cinema complex shows all the latest releases! Grab some pick ‘n’ mix, your favourite ice cream and snacks and settle down for a night in front of the silver screen.
One of the best things about Tower Park is the variety of restaurants on offer. Choose from your favourite chain restaurants for dine in or takeaway, including Nando’s, Pizza Express, TGI Fridays, Pizza Hut and KFC.
