Branksome Chine Beach

Beaches

Branksome Chine Beach is popular with families, although quieter than other beaches in the area. Beachgoers can enjoy a wide expanse of lovely golden sand, providing plenty of space for little ones to run and play.

Like many beaches in Poole, Branksome Chine holds Blue Flag status, recognising the water cleanliness and quality. It’s a great spot for a paddle or swim and RNLI lifeguards are on duty from 1st May to 30th September.

Volleyball nets are available to hire during the summer months, should you wish to challenge your friends or play together as a family!

Lovely walks

A paved promenade runs parallel to the beach, providing the perfect destination for a leisurely walk that can be enjoyed during the summer or on a blustery winter’s day. Walk all the way to Sandbanks or Bournemouth in the opposite direction.

Facilities

On the promenade you will find public toilets and an ice cream kiosk. The Branksome Beach Restaurant is an excellent choice for a spot of lunch or dinner with a view. The team serve a wide selection of hot and cold options, including fresh and delicious seafood. Make sure you ask for a table on the veranda so you can take in the beautiful scenery as you eat. From the elevated position you can enjoy views over the Purbeck Hills and you can sometimes spot the Isle of Wight on a sunny day.

Dog friendly

Branksome Chine Beach is dog friendly from 1st October to 30th April each year.
