Farmer Palmers is one of Dorset’s leading family attractions. This popular farm park is just a short drive from our caravan and camping site near Poole and offers plenty of exciting activities on offer to keep the little ones entertained. The park is mainly geared towards the under 8’s, but all ages for a fun-filled family day out.
During your visit to Farmer Palmers head to the barn to meet the many different animals that live on the farm. You can handle guinea pigs, bottle feed lambs and watch the cheeky goats, rabbits and miniature donkeys. Outside, hand feed deer and meet the resident ponies, alpacas, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks.
Learn more about farm life by watching the live milking display and listening to talks from our friendly and knowledgable team. You can even cheer on the pigs in the daily pig racing event and take a bouncy ride on a trailer pulled along by a tractor!
Once you’ve met all the farm animals, little ones can play on the pedal tractors and go carts, get wet in the sand and splash zone or take a leisurely walk along the pretty woodland trail. In the summer there are lots of pretty flowers and plants to admire. There are also lots of different pieces of play equipment, including bouncy castles, slides and soft play. During the summer there are seasonal events such as the maize maze. Over Christmas Santas pays a festive visit to this popular Dorset farm park.
There’s plenty of space to enjoy a picnic at Farmer Palmers. Pack some sandwiches and enjoy a midday snack in the sunshine, surrounded by the Dorset countryside. If you’d prefer to treat yourself to a meal out, there’s a small kitchen serving takeaway drinks, meals and snacks.

We booked for two nights in our Motorhome and ended up staying six nights. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Shower blocks were kept clean and water was lovely and hot. Bus stop directly outside site going to Poole and Swanage on the he number 40 bus route. Worth getting a return ticket to save money Mo, Oct 2021
We had a simply fabulous time at South Lytchett Manor last month. We were not sure about camping in October but the site is well insulated, the playground kept our kids well entertained and the facilities were super clean and comfortable. We loved having a shop onsite and there are water taps and electricity points in abundance.. we have stayed at a number of sites and couldn’t recommend this Beth, Nov 2020
Great campsite, really friendly and polite staff. Very clean facilities and felt ‘safe’ with all the hand sanitizer and clear signage, highly recommend - we’ll probably book one of the huts next time.... Richard , Oct 2020
