The Cowshed is a newly renovated café situated in Lytchett Minister – a stone’s throw from our our base at South Lytchett Manor. The Cowshed is the perfect place to grab a delicious breakfast or a lunchtime snack. The friendly team use the high quality, locally sourced ingredients in their food and drinks. We hold the Cowshed in very high regard and we’re certain that upon visiting, you will too!
The Cowshed place massive importance on supporting local producers and keeping the origins of their food close to home. The bespoke coffee house blend is from Swanage-based roasters, Carve Coffee. Freshly baked cakes, slices and scones are rotated daily, and are not to miss! We recommend the triple stacked berry pancakes. The Cowshed’s cream teas are a fruity dollop of Dorset delight, and are perfectly paired with Granny’s famous Dorset apple cake served with warm clotted cream. The homemade mackerel pate is especially brilliant, as is the fresh falafels and humous – which we think must be piled onto a flatbread! Everything in house and the delicious recipes are steeped in family secrets!
The Cowshed is a dog friendly café, so you can take your four-legged friend too. Dogs are welcome inside the cafe, or you can choose to dine outside.
The Cowshed is part of the Courtyard Craft Centre surrounded by independent craft shops like an ethical soap maker, a potter, artisan woodworker and a chocolatier! Peruse the fantastic crafts, before popping in to The Cowshed for a bite to eat! This local loving café is sure to keep the arty hub and its visitors fuelled with caffeine!
