As a family friendly campsite we are always keen to ensure that our younger visitors have an enjoyable time as much as their parents. So this year we thought it was time to update our children’s play park.
After many hours spent planning at the start of this year we started to build our new play park area. The construction was fairly complicated and was akin to putting together a giant Meccano set! We used a mini digger to excavate the area first to ensure we had a level base.
After a while each piece of equipment started to take shape. The finished area now boasts lots of equipment including shiny new swings, a roundabout and activity climbing frame with slides for younger children. We have also installed soft but durable matting on the ground.
The children visiting the park are now happier than ever with the new area. They have a variety of different equipment to play on. Their parents are also pleased that lots of energy is being burned up helping to make them sleep like logs!
Park owner Matt Bridgen who managed the construction commented “We are proud to have invested over £50,000 in this new play park. We’re really pleased with the finished area. It was a lot of hard work to plan and put together but it was well worth the effort seeing how happy the first children to use it are.’
He went on to say ‘We hope it demonstrates how family friendly we are. And also that the happy memories that this equipment helps to create with encourage the youngsters of today to return to us in the future with their children.’
The new play park area is not the only facilities on site that our younger visitors enjoy though. We also have outdoor table tennis and football nets.
