After a recent inspection from the regional Britain in Bloom Awards, we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded with Gold status under the category of business landscape!

As part of the judge’s visit, they looked at the design and layout of our park, how wildlife is supported, the range of plants and trees across our site and our ongoing maintenance.

The judge commented:

“This is an extremely well managed and maintained site with a lot of consideration given to sustainability by choice of planting to make the site as attractive as possible for visitors.

“The site also benefits from extensive woodland around the perimeter of the site providing good food source for a number of insects and birds. Large hedges within the site help to provide screened off areas so that there are limited numbers of pitches within each area. The site also benefits from a wildflower area within the dog walking field.”

Joanne Bridgen, Owner of South Lytchett Manor Camping & Caravanning Park adds:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have retained a Gold award for another year. Our team work so hard at maintaining our park to provide an attractive environment, not only visually, but for the benefit of nature too. We’d like to give a big thank you to Elliott, who planted up our hanging baskets and Aggie who loves gardening and is very passionate about her role in maintaining the planting on the park and her flowers in the amenity blocks.

“We are in very good company with local winners including Upton (winners of gold for large town and gold for town centre) and our neighbours at the Woodland Burial Ground in Lytchett Minster, who also scooped a gold award. All of this is testament to the dedication of us and the local community to providing an attractive and sustainable landscape.”
