Whether you are camping, touring or glamping, we’ve got a great pancake recipe, that doesn’t require a mixing bowl or whisk. You simply shake the batter in a sealed jar, water bottle or Ziplock bag.

Our recipe makes 12 mini pancakes

175g self raising flour

1 tsp baking powder

4 tbsp caster sugar

1 egg

200ml whole milk

Splash of fizzy water (optional)

Oil for pan

Toppings of your choice

Method:

Put all the dry ingredients into a large airtight jar or container.  Crack in the egg and milk, then shake  – make sure the lid is on tight 😊 Then add the splash of fizzy water and shake again.

Use straight away or keep refrigerated till ready to use.

Heat a frying pan with a little oil, then spoon small amounts into the pan. We suggest two or three at a time, depending on the size of your pan.

Leave the pancakes to cook until bubbles appear on the surface, flip the pancakes and cook for a few more minutes until done.

Now for the best part, serve up the pancakes and choose your favourite topping, lemon and sugar, chocolate spread, syrup, fruit or something savoury.

Tip: Weigh out all the dry ingredients before your holiday, then add the egg and milk when ready to cook.
