The Lighthouse Poole venue is the cultural hub of Poole and home to a vast array of film, theatre and comedy performances. Hosting some of the biggest names in the industry, including international events, the Lighthouse is a must visit for anyone interested in the creative arts. There are 4 auditoriums at the Lighthouse (a theatre, concernt hall, studio and cinema) meaning there are often multiple shows taking place at the same time. From dance performances to orchestras, pantomimes, indie films and everything in-between, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Despite the venue being one of the largest regional arts centre outside of London many shows sell out months in advance. To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend checking out the events programme ahead of your stay at South Lytchett Manor and booking your tickets over the phone or online.
Located on the bottom floor, The Beacon Café serves light lunches including toasties and jacket potatoes Tuesday to Saturday. When there’s a performance in the Theatre or Concert Hall it is open in the evening. For dinner there’s a buffet service of 3-4 mains and accompanying vegetables.
There’s also a bar where you can enjoy a drink with family and friends before heading into your show. Stocking local ales, ciders and an extensive range of wines and spirits, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy an evening tipple before an evening of excitement!
Opposite the entrance there is a pay and display car park, so you won’t have to walk far.
