Go Ape Moors Valley

Go Ape at Moors Valley has five thrilling outdoor activities to choose from, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. One of the most popular experiences is the Treetop Challenge, which includes tree-to-tree crossings, 11m high climbs, and five exciting zip wires with stunning scenic views from above.

If you’re not a fan of heights, why not try the Forest Segway activity with your child instead? The experienced instructors will teach you how to use a Segway, before taking you on a thrilling adventure through the vast woodland trail. Get ready for an exciting afternoon!

Exciting Boat Trips

If you’re looking for a fun family activity, why not try a Jurassic Coast Cruise from Poole? A boat trip is the perfect way to experience the natural beauty of Dorset’s coastline while passing by some of its most iconic landmarks. You’ll see the stunning Old Harry Rocks, the enchanting Sandbanks Beach, and more on your journey to the charming seaside resort of Swanage.

If your teenagers are feeling daring, you could book a spot on a high speed rib ride to get the adrenaline pumping. Get Lost Sailing offer a range of trips, including a popular 2-hour sea safari.

Splashdown

Splashdown Waterpark in Poole is a must-visit destination for older children and teenagers. They can spend a couple of hours sliding down winding tubes, floating in lazy rivers and splashing in the pools. There are plenty of flumes to keep younger members of the family entertained. You can join in, relax in the hot tub or oversee proceedings from the cafe!

Splashdown is located on the Tower Park entertainment complex. After your swim you could head to one of the other attractions to enjoy an afternoon bowling or watching a film at the cinema.

Pause Cat Café

At Pause Cat Café, you can sample some delicious snacks while your teenagers spend their time gushing over the resident cats. The café spans two floors and has 11 adorable rescue cats roaming around or napping on one of the many cat trees. Your children can keep the cats entertained with the numerous toys available while you relax in one of the comfortable seating areas.

We recommend going in the morning for the most lively cat interactions!

Dorset Adventure Park

If mud trails and water parks are your teenager’s thing, Dorset Adventure Park is the perfect day out! Head into the lakes next to Corfe Castle and tackle various obstacles as you make your way across the water! Test your agility by climbing up and sprinting across giant inflatables floating on top of the water. Finish the session with a short swim to cool off!

The Mud Trail is also a fantastic option if you don’t mind getting dirty! Younger members of the family can put their athleticism to the test as they jump over tyres, swing on ropes and crawl through muddy trenches. Tumbling your way through the course with big smiles is definitely an entertaining way to spend your day.

Don’t forget to take a spare set of clothes!
