Where is Poole Harbour?

Poole Harbour is the largest natural harbour in Europe, with an area of approximately 36km2. Its shoreline extends from Studland round to Arne, Rockley, Lake Pier, Hamworthy Park, Shore Road and Sandbanks.

The most popular access point is Poole Quay, which you will find just a short walk from the Old Town. Here you can catch a ferry to Brownsea Island to admire the harbour from the water. The quayside plays host to a number of events throughout the year. There are a wide selection of pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants serving delicious food and drink with beautiful views over the water.

Poole Harbour is a haven for watersports enthusiasts. There are many activity providers offering watersports lessons and equipment hire.
